Pumpkin Pie Martini

Author: Mary DiSomma

I happen to LOVE pumpkin. This is one of my all-time favorite fall cocktails, because it’s easy to make and sure to impress. Plus, it’s just so dang good. If you have pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice on hand, you’re pretty much ready to go. It's great for Halloween and Thanksgiving parties—big or small. I wouldn’t be surprised if you have all the ingredients in your pantry right now. And yes, it does taste like a real slice of pumpkin pie. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a buttery graham cracker rim for a truly authentic pumpkin pie experience. Pair with vanilla ice cream or caramel drizzle to make it even more decadent. Rich, creamy and sweet… you’ll be drinking dessert tonight. Pro tip: Shaken, not stirred. Make sure to shake this cocktail for a full 30 seconds.

  1. Pour a layer of maple syrup into a shallow bowl. Cover a plate slightly larger than the rim of your glass with a thick layer of graham cracker crumbs.
  2. Prepare the rim of the glass by dipping it into the maple syrup, followed by the graham cracker crumbs. Let the rim dry while you prepare the drink
  3. Combine all the martini ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add a handful of ice and shake for at least 30 seconds, until the mixture is cold and the pumpkin puree is well-incorporated.
  4. Strain the drink into the prepared martini glass. If desired, garnish with a swirl of sweetened whipped cream, caramel drizzle, or both.
