Irish Coffee Milkshake

Author: Mary DiSomma

This recipe combines two of my favorite treats: Irish coffee and milkshakes. Yep, it’s time for my Irish Cream Coffee Milkshake with Bailey’s! This recipe is terrific on its own, but you know me—I like to add a few embellishments. Want to add a rim of chocolate on the glass? Easy—just dip your glass into a small bowl of melted chocolate and refrigerate until ready to use. Save the leftover melted chocolate for drizzling on top! Want to make this even more decadent? Try my homemade chocolate ganache. You can find it in my Bailey’s Irish Cream Chocolate Martini. For extra fun, try a garnish of marshmallows or shaved bittersweet chocolate. Really want to make a splash? Get out that kitchen torch and toast the marshmallows up just before serving to make it an Irish coffee s’mores milkshake! Feel free to get creative with this one—if it sounds good, it probably will be great!

Instructions

  1. Combine all the milkshake ingredients in your blender. Pop on the lid and process until the mixture is smooth, thick, and creamy.
  2. Pour your milkshake into a large, chilled glass and garnish with toppings of your choice. I like to put chocolate sauce on the rim of the glass, drizzle chocolate sauce or caramel sauce over the top. I'll also add marshmallows or shaved bittersweet chocolate!
