Smooth & Dirty Vodka Martini
Some of my closest friends are devoted martini drinkers. You know the type. Strong opinions about olives, vermouth, glassware, and exactly how cold a martini should be. I love my friends, so I wanted to create a cocktail recipe just for them—something both familiar and unexpected. This smooth, dirty vodka martini recipe starts with a homemade infused vodka with jasmine tea, cardamom, and thyme. The result is crisp, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. You still get the salty, briny backbone and silky texture—but layered with subtle floral and herbal notes. Let’s make one!
One of my favorite things about this recipe is that the infused vodka can be prepared well ahead of time. After you strain it, the vodka will keep beautifully in the freezer for several weeks. The vodka needs to infuse for at least 24 hours. If you let it sit longer, the flavor will be more intense. You can prepare the infusion a few days ahead and mix up your dirty martini cocktail when guests arrive.
