Ingredient Tips

Homemade is so much better!I know it’s easy to buy a hot chocolate mix from the store but I find that making your own mix at home lets you control the flavor profile and adds a nice homemade touch. When you make it yourself, you can choose a higher quality cocoa powder and even control the amount of sugar in the recipe.

Preparation + Preservation Tips

When I learned how to make my own marshmallows, I knew I’d found the perfect holiday gift—one that’s just as delightful to give as it is to receive. Here’s how: Package the hot chocolate mix in a small clear bag, and tie it with a pretty ribbon. Make sure to include a little recipe card with the instructions! To make this cute little gift even more special, you could include a festive mug, some homemade marshmallows, or even some more hot chocolate recipes!

When you give someone a homemade hot chocolate kit, you’re giving more than a gift—you’re sharing a moment of comfort and joy. Whether you enjoy it as a nostalgic winter treat or a creative addition to your cocktail hour, this homemade hot chocolate mix is a pantry staple you’ll come back to time and again.
