Caramel Sauce

Author: Mary DiSomma

Classic caramel sauce is made by caramelizing granulated sugar (with no water) then carefully adding warm cream. Although delicious, this method takes time and patience; two things I don’t always have. When I need a quick caramel sauce, I make the easy version. Make extra, and store it in the refrigerator. If it gets too thick, simply heat for a few seconds in the microwave.
